My little one turned four yesterday. We had a birthday party complete with bouncy house, which we’ve now done for three years in a row. My o ldest always deflates with the bouncy house, and stares longingly until the truck goes out of sight.
The party went really well. The weather here had totally sucked for the previous week. It’s been chilly and very very wet. It dried out and warmed up just in time.
My wife and I also wised up and scaled back the size of the party. We only invited the grand parents and friends with kids in the same age range. We used to throw huge parties with all of our friends, but it just got to be too much. We kept the foo d simple, a crock pot of hot dogs, a selection of toppings, and some big bowls of chips.
At the end of the night, instead of being completely exhausted, my wife and I were happy and chatting about what a great day we had.
Today is gorgeous weather again. I’m sitting on my porch on my free replica Eames chair (thanks GalileoHumpkins!), while the birthday girl draws. Later the family is invited to our friend’s 40th birthday at the local roller rink. Should be fun!
Damn good weekend so far. Damn good.

Awwww, she had a great time at least!
What a great weekend. My wife is working, so I’ve been hanging out with the little guy. We spent a looooong time at the park playground yesterday which wiped him out. Probably going to do the same again today.

They both had a great time. The birthday girl was grinning from ear to ear all day yesterday.
Yeah, this weather is gorgeous. I definitely recommend spending some more playground time outside today.

Nice, My Andrew who you both met turned 2 on Thursday so we also were able to enjoy the perfect weather.
We also did a much smaller party than last year, with just my sister’s family and those of our other 2 friends with boys of similar age. (Actually we’re going to one of their 2nd birthday parties next weekend).
After most of the crowd dispersed we threw Andrew in the back of the Jaguar with the remainders and we hopped in the TR6 and had a grand procession to our favorite BBQ place.

We did ! We had a great time at the park - climbed on the ladders and slides, played with neighborhood dogs, and watched a tee ball game for a bit ( I’m hoping he takes an interest)
Great day!
Also, does that offer to lend me a charger still stand? Started it today, and weirdly now the wipers are on and * won’t* turn off...

Awesome! We spent the afternoon after the party outside. Even ate dinner outside. What a great weekend this was!
Yeah, you can absolutely still borrow the charger. I was wondering what came of that.

Nice! Yeah I got tied up all week and never even looked at the truck until today.
The fact that the wipers are now stuck on, instead of not working at all, lends credence to the thought that it’s a low voltage problem I think.
I could probably pick it up later tomorrow or Thursday and return on the weekend?
Think I have your email but haven’t checked yet — thanks!

You should have my email. I have yours and your phone number. Want me to shoot you a text?

I just remembered, I’ve gotta take the big one to karate class tonight at 6, so Thursday would be better.
